KENYANS TRAPPED, AGAIN!

Countrymen, i have friends from within and without Kenya. most of them are my foreign clients who use Kenya as their transit routes for the passage of their goods to various destinations from the port of Mombasa, so they are usually very concerned on the political events within Kenya since it directly affects them. some call me late at night to know of the new developments in our political arena as a matter of survival for them. but the calls intensified last week with the speculation that was rife over Musalia`s quitting of the ODM party to further his political ambitions elsewhere.
The day he was making the `big' announcement, i was in Malaba-border for Kenya and Uganda, and was trying to catch up with events back home for i had been out of Kenya for a while. So i sat in a cafe in Kenya sipping on tea and following the vetting of judges on Citizen TV. What caught my attention however, was the many people drinking at that hour and arguments were rife between supporters of Mudavadi`s move and opposers. Nothing constructive though, just the tribal barnacles.each group sounded crazy and in incoherent. some just outright zero on facts, and i wondered, aren't they following the vetting process now on? true ,once Citizen TV changed coverage ,and i strongly reprimand them for that, the whole place went quite and everyone calmed and sat pensively as if in a court waiting for a life changing verdict.
then came the announcement, and people shifted seats, it became luos vs luhyas! what mayopiaysm! what lack of insight and mental acumen! this country is ruled on the basis of these tribal cocoons that seize the air in election time, there`s always the correct tribe, and the wrong one. the phrases of our people, we should be in the next govt, etc rent the air, and alas! we run to our tribal thinking mindsets and elect tribal chiefs to posh seats to be safe. whats the outcome? a crooked leadership longing to survive on the gullibility of its denizens to survive! why are Kenyans so bent to this type of life, why do we get so trapped easily by these people? when can we stand as independent minded people and take charge of what the politics of today are? who out there can break from this chain of inhuman indecent captivity we are jailed to? where do you stand dear brothers?
just like my non Kenyan friends say, it will take something messianic to change us or maybe like the time of Sodom and Gomorrah to ensure we the living, unthinking lot who drive this country awry with our thick tribal minds are consumed by heavenly fire to cleanse this land of our dirty blood letting ways and bring up a more humane generation to achieve Vision 2030 by 2015! And be sure the time is coming. It all depends on how  and who we vote for this time! Believe me.
