The Tilting Balance In Kenya - The poor to the rich!

Halo buddies, good Africans. finally the tide is turning in Kenya. the day of reckoning is nigh. i read with awe and almost disbelief the sweetest news i have had for years. that William Samoe Ruto (an ardent presidential candidate) just after the turmoil that engulfed Kenya in 2007-08 over over bungled elections, seized and took to himself land of up to 100acres belonging to one Adrian Gilbert Muteshi a victim of the violence and an IDP for that matter. he even went ahead and processed a title to the land!
But as the song "give me hope Johanna!" by Eddy Grant says, didn't he see that the tide was turning? had he to wait till the morning come! for surely the morning has now come and he has to return the land, pay compensation and the suite costs to the complainant. something that years ago was unimaginable leave alone implementable.
This brings into focus a few serious questions on the ruling elites motives of wanting to stay in power indefinitely, and more so in African countries and their inherent resistance to change even by the pouring of the blood of their countrymen. for starters, Mr Ruto was among the most ardent naysayers against the constitution and the setting up of a local tribunal to look into the 2007-8 violence;could it have been that they knew what they had done before and after the violence and that Kenyans and the world should forget it as a bad day in its history and move on without ruffling some feathers so that the perpetrators could keep what they seized from the displaced, dead and maimed? was it a deliberate attempt to bury the truth? many cases of this calibre against the powerful and mighty are bound to be in the courts in great numbers in the near future due to the emerging trend of majority of Kenyans having great faith in our reformed and renewed judicial system under C.J Willy Mutunga.
This case especially, will act as a case precedent for many others. I personally salute Mr Adrian for his great courage and knowledge of his rights and the use of our system to get justice and show all that now you can take that tycoon or political big wig to your local court and be assured of getting justice served to you in due time without the messing up of the rich defendant with his millions! hello Kenyan 'Mafia'- wake and smell the coffee! the time of reckoning is at Hand! watch this space! adieu for now.
